Effective August 31, 2026
Spotless is built to need as little of your data as possible. No accounts, no ads, no tracking, no selling data. Ever.
Your location is used on your device to compare trip costs and center the map. It is never stored on our servers. To answer your searches, coordinates you choose (a destination, a parking spot) are sent to the services that power the app: OpenStreetMap-based geocoding and walking routes (Photon, Nominatim, OSRM) and TomTom for live traffic. These requests carry no account identity.
If you tap a report button ("Parked free", "Actually paid", "Was full"), we store that report: the parking spot, the report type, the time, and a random device identifier generated on your phone. This identifier is not linked to you, your name, or your location history — it exists only to prevent duplicate reports. Deleting the app deletes the identifier from your device.
No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no data brokers, no cross-app tracking. The app's data sources are open (OpenStreetMap and municipal open data), and every parking claim in the app links back to its source.
